If you have ever been down at the river in Lonesome Valley on a Saturday then you have probability seen some people running around in the woods on the old four wheeler trails in camouflage and carrying paintball guns. They are the Iron Horsemen Scenario Paintball Team and they train on Saturdays in lonesome valley when they’re not competing in Woodsball tournaments. The team tries to maintain a regular schedule of practice or competing every other weekend from March through November of every year based on weather. There are 12 active members and 16 reserve and support members on their roster.  The Iron Horsemen are sponsored by:

On Saturday April 25th, The Iron Horsemen played their second scenario game as a team. With 70 plus players at Hiatt’s Game on Paintball field in New Market, TN. The Spring Showdown was the first of many scenario events planed by the East Tennessee Woodsball League to be played every other month at different fields within east Tennessee. Bring exposure to the local fields in the area. They have made an impression on players and field owners every where they have gone, their motto “Honor, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and respect” shows in the way they conduct themselves on and off the paintball field. Norma Jean and Andy Hiatt of Hiatt’s game on paintball field had this to say about the team on www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/southeast/66968-east-tennessee-woodsball-game: “Iron Horsemen: We learned a lot from just watching you. It's one thing to talk class; it's another to show it. Comments from some of the players at the April 25th game where. “It was an absolute pleasure to meet you guys and have you all out to the game”. Another player said “you guys operate and conduct yourselves with class and dignity and that is an asset to the sport. I would be honored to have you all as personal guests at any big game field here in the southeast”. The team will be mentioned in an internet magazine called www.180paintball.com in June.

 

The Iron Horsemen Scenario Paintball Team is based out of New Tazewell in Claiborne County Tennessee. The team has only been together since March 2007, with members from as far off as Clinton, TN; Pennington Gap, VA; And Corbin, KY. The team is going to conducting a series of fund raisers in the upcoming months to help send them to a 24 hour scenario game conducted by MPP games, held at Bear Claw in Fayettville, TN. October 10th and 11th. The event is about 6 hours from New Tazewell and cost $150.00 per player, plus traveling expenses.  Any help with the fund raisers would be greatly appreciated.

 

The Iron Horsemen Scenario Paintball Team Unit Commander, Michael Young of New Tazewell had this to say about the team: As for my team I am very proud to be your unit commander, everyone of you play your hearts out, you give 110% and never give up, and the comments made by the people at the game, just goes to show that all our hard work putting this team together and the time spent training is starting to pay off.
