About Us
How we started:

The team was started with the help of my brother in March of 2007 after spending a few years hopping from field-to-field and team-to-team. I had many high hopes and dreams about how I wanted to be a hardcore scenario player on a hardcore team and I was not getting what I wanted or expected from other teams. My brother and I sat down and created a charter, a website, and a logo and viola....a scenario team was born.

We call ourselves the Iron Horsemen for two reasons. The first is we almost always register and play on the side of the U.S. and the fact that we fashion ourselves after the:
 5th Special Forces Airborne Vietnam.

The second reason is we are an airborne scenario team so we would ride in to battle on an Helicopter or Airplane (Iron Horse) .

Our Standards:

“IRON HORSEMEN”  will promote the sport of paintball by enforcing the highest standard of Honor, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Respect. Iron Horsemen adheres to a strict code of conduct, on and off the field of play. This code of conduct, rule set, and charter will be read by every Prospect and obeyed by Team Members. Should any of the rules or code of conduct be broken by a Team Member during an event (any paintball game or practice), it will result in a written warning that will be signed and acknowledged by the offending player. Severity of the offense could be cause for immediate dismissal. Should a second occurrence of the same offense take place, a second written and acknowledged warning will be issued and filed. On the third same offense, the player will be discharged!

All house rules of the field being played upon shall be treated the same as Iron Horsemen regulations. Violations of field rules will be treated as violations of the Iron Horsemen Charter and regulations. Multiple field rule violations made, no matter the location of the field, shall be treated as subsequent and repetitive violations and held to the 3 Strike Policy.

All Iron Horsemen members are required to attend the safety/game briefings that are customary before each event, no matter the skill level of the player or how often the field is visited. Listen attentively, even though most of the rules are the same from field to field. These actions display respect and professionalism. Lead by example, Iron Horsemen. As we grow in size and reputation, we become more visible and are held to higher standard. That's what separates us from the rest of the pack.

Recruiting:

We do have several requirements in order to become a team member. I won't go through the more tedious details, but I do want to touch upon something that is a big deal to us.

The first and foremost is self-sufficiency. Because we are scattered all over the tri-state area, Iron Horsemen need to be able to provide for themselves when it comes to gear, registration fees, and transportation. If you can't make it to a game because you can't get a ride, or because you haven't gotten your allowance this week, then the Iron Horsemen are not for you.

This does not mean that thirteen year olds are not skilled enough to play with us. It just means the average thirteen year old cannot meet the attendance requirements for the team.

Usually, we only let adults with jobs and cars join the team. For other details, feel free to e-mail us at iron_horsemen@hotmail.com
